STLSpecial

Convert 3D files between STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY and GLB. Convert one file or a whole folder at once, and resize on the way. Everything runs in your browser, so your files are never uploaded.

How to convert 3MF to STL

  1. Add your 3MFDrop a 3MF file from Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer, Cura or any CAD app. You can add several at once.
  2. Check STL is selectedSTL is picked for you. Change the scale if you want the model bigger or smaller.
  3. Download your STLClick Convert. Each 3MF becomes one STL, with several files coming back in a ZIP.

Why convert 3MF to STL?

3MF is great inside a slicer, but many websites, marketplaces, older slicers and CAD tools still only accept STL.

STL is also the easiest format to share, since every 3D printing app can open it.

Plates with several objects

If your 3MF has several objects on the plate, they are saved together in one STL, in the same place and at the same size as in your project.

Need each part as its own file? Export them one by one from your slicer, or split them in your slicer after converting.

What stays and what goes

The shape and size of every object are kept exactly, in millimeters.

Colors, painted supports, modifiers and print settings only exist in 3MF, so they are left out of the STL.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with Bambu Studio 3MF files?

Yes. Project files from Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer are read with every object placed where it sits on the plate, including objects made of several parts.

Will each object become a separate STL?

No. Everything on the plate is saved into one STL, in its original position. To get separate files, export each object from your slicer.

Are colors kept when I convert 3MF to STL?

No. STL can only store the shape of a model, so colors and painted areas are lost. Keep your 3MF if you need them for a multi-color print.

Will my model keep its size?

Yes. 3MF stores real millimeter units and the STL is saved in millimeters, so the model opens at the same size in your slicer.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Your files are converted by your browser on your own device and never sent to our server. That also makes it fast, even for large files.
